Hi all,
Ken Hayward, Grahame Law & myself have been formulating the programme for next season. We have had 4 meeting so far including a BKC tournament committee meeting at Otaki. We now have our final draft done (no.5) so hope for no more changes from the Centre. We also attended a meeting at Waikanae with Bowls NZ CEO Mark Cameron on various things, but mainly on the necessity for all clubs to adopt their new constitution required by the chartered clubs to guard against money laundering. This needs to be done by 2026 but the incoming executive will do it next year.
Grahame Law, Phil Stirrat & myself hosted a 16 year old girl’s birthday party with 2 hours of bowls which they all really enjoyed. They were all students at Horowhenua College so we hope they spread the word around there. Grahame also had a small group from the ukulele club trying out the game, so we are all trying to gain new members.
