Bowls NZ “Club of the Year 2014-2015”
The Levin Bowling Club was established in 1907 and is the oldest Bowling Club in Levin. It has operated on the same Weraroa Road site since 1909.
Our Club is nestled in the heart of Levin, has two all season greens and floodlights. We are able to provide our members more bowling options and experiences that are literally not available for miles around.
The Club has both a summer and winter programme:
To learn more about the game of bowls…
- The summer programme includes the Clubs Championships, galas, regional competitions and other special events. Roll-ups (casual bowling) run most Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons.
- The winter programme includes a mixed weekly triples gala on a Wednesday with roll-ups on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons.
The Club enjoys a great atmosphere of friendly bowlers and the warm welcome of new members. All members can have free coaching by our experienced coach. After a few short lessons new members are encouraged to join in the fun of roll-ups and afterwards enjoy the social element.
We are always welcoming new members. Whether you enjoy competitive play, casual roll-ups or would just like to give bowls a no obligation try for the first time. If you are bitten by the bowling bug, we have a number of membership packages to suit all preferences.
Hire Our Facilities
Did you know that you can hire our clubrooms on a one-off or regular basis. We have a spacious kitchen/dining area, large lounge with full bar facilities, 2 fantastic bowling greens (with bowls and equipment available) and ample on-street parking. Contact us or we can call you back.
The club is a popular venue for corporate social bowls, birthdays, engagement parties, pre-wedding parties, Christmas functions, meetings, and seminars.
