After 7 games of round robin format 2 bowl triples over 2 days, the two Levin entries secured 2nd and 3rd places!
Congratulations to the winners, Paraparaumu Beach team who won the Trophy with 6.5 wins, very closely followed by Levin ‘B’ with 6 wins. Many terrific bowls were played over the two days and most of the games were very close.
The best story of the event was when the PBBC team were down 11-2 after the 8th end, then managed to pull two consecutive 5 point ends out of the bag to win 11-12. Outstanding bowling!
The weather was scorching hot on both days with a high of around 25°C with very little wind. The Tiger Turf slowed considerably in the heat which caused quite a few short bowls at times. Even the spectators were slowly melting under the umbrellas.
