The Women’s Junior Pairs were held on 10th May in beautiful bowling conditions.
Two teams vied in the women’s competition meaning they needed two wins from three games to take out the competition. The games were closely contested and after two games both teams had a win each, making a third game was necessary.
By the time the final game was played it was getting colder and the sun was beginning to dip in the sky. A battle ensued with Elisabeth Glinkowska and Nicole Hoy taking out the victory with a fine win over their opponents Mary van der Velden and Diane Dunlop.
Congratulations to all players as there were some marvellous bowls played – well worthy of finals. Many thanks to Erica Whittaker for running the event.
