Levin Bowling Club hosted the Bowls Kapiti Coast (BKC) Awards Ceremony on Saturday 14th June. Many awards were presented covering the full range of bowling events and grades across the region, covering clubs from Paekakariki right through to Waitarere Beach:

There were the Player of the Year awards too:
- Female Junior (5 years and under) Player of the Year
- Male Junior (5 years and under) Player of the Year
- Female Open Player of the Year
- Male Open Player of the Year
- Female Veteran Player of the Year
- Male Veteran Player of the Year
- Player of the Year
The Club of the Year Award went to Raumati. This award is primarily judged on participation rates and success rates(calculated on a per member basis) over the season. Membership trends, community involvement, Centre involvement and other criteria may be taken into consideration.
The Centre President Robin Doughty did a terrific job running the event and presenting many awards, and John McBeth did a fabulous job as MC with an entertaining style keeping everyone engaged.
A big thank you to the kitchen team consisting of Mary van der Velden, Nicole Hoy and her children James and Caitlin who provided a wonderful afternoon tea for the attendees.
Also, thank you to the bar staff, John Dunlop and David Grigg who so ably kept everyone hydrated!
