We had a lovely day weather-wise and a great time for the I.C. Mark Ham Gala on Saturday December 7th. The Levin Christmas Parade came by in the afternoon as well so there was definitely the Christmas spirit in the air.
Twenty-two teams played on both greens and the winners on the Tiger Turf were:
- 1st: Brian Cooper, Duncan Mann and Erica Whittaker with 4 wins, 24 ends and 43 points.
- 2nd: Irene Poletti, Jim Winter and Norman Annand with 4 wins, 23 ends and 39 points.
- 3rd: Bronwyn McMahon, Mike Ansell and Sprotty with 3 wins, 20 ends and 43 points.
On the Dales Green, the winners were:
- 1st: Ronnie Crone, Dennis Crone and Ken Sterne with 3 wins, 23 ends and 45 points.
- 2nd: Izzy Kennedy, Donna Gripp and Jason Wardle with 3 wins, 20 ends and 43 points.
- 3rd: Jan Lilico, Gay Calderwood and Graeme Mathie with 2 wins, 23 ends and 42 points.
Those players all won ham or lamb for their Christmas meals. There were four extra lamb rack prizes kindly donated by Alliance meatworks, and the winners of these were selected from the other teams. These lucky winning teams were:
