The Women’s Pairs club championship was held on the 4th and 5th of January attracting ten teams. The winners were Diane Short and Bella Law with Ralda Adams and Chloe Eastham the runners up. The score in the final was 18-12.

The conditions on Saturday were extremely windy all day. Despite this five teams qualified for the post section part of play and produced a very high standard of bowls. It rained heavily Sunday night and the morning started out with the threat of rain continuing around starting time. The two teams starting the day’s play coped with some light showery conditions at times but did continue playing so thank you for that. The weather fined up as the day went on but the wind returned. Again all games reached some high bowling standards and were watched by a number of people.

The final was watched by the largest number and once again they were treated to some very skilful bowling.

A special thanks to Pat Brown and Ken Sterne who ran the event.
