It was a crispy cool autumn day, and we avoided the rain of the last couple of days which was nice, but it did get a bit chilly in the afternoon. We had 24 teams enter which were split across the two greens by our match committee, giving us 6 rinks on each green in use.
The competition involved fours game formats:
- Game 1: 3 bowl pairs – 10 ends
- Game 2: Shanghai pairs, 3 bowls – 10 ends
- Game 3: 2 bowl pairs – 12 ends
- Game 4: 2x4x2 pairs – 8 ends

- 1st: Elisabeth Glinkowska & Michael Heather, 4 wins 75 points 22 ends
- 2nd: Arne Jansson & Phil Stirrat, 3½ wins 66 points 22 ends
- 3rd: Glyn Davies & Clare Hack, 3 wins 75 points 23 ends
The results on the Dales green:
- 1st: Graeme Mathie & Brian Hoy, 4 wins 81 points 24 ends
- 2nd: Les & Liz Galloway, 4 wins 79 points 26 ends
- 3rd: Ken Haywood & Jim Winter, 4 wins 74 points 24 ends
Some great bowling was seen today and once again the competition was tight with some very close results, especially on the Dales.
