Congratulations to Adam Batty who came runner-up in the National Year 1-8 Super Singles competition which finished this Sunday.
The winner was Craig Moffat from Blockhouse Bay, who overcame a great challenge from Adam in the final. Craig needed to draw closer than 45cm with his last bowl to avoid a tiebreak, which he managed.
This competition is part of the new Short Forms Bowls format, whose byline is “Fast, Fun, Great for Everyone”.
There were over 370 entries in this event, with the qualifying days played at regional clubs around the country, and the final 20 players, faced off on July 6-7th at the Naenae Bowling Club.
