A great day at the club on August 21st for our last winter Wednesday Triples. We had beautiful sunshine after all the weekend rain, and very little wind, so overall we had rather pleasant playing conditions.
We hosted 20 teams from around the region. On the Dales green the winners were:
- 1st: Brian Cooper, Jim Winter and Mary van der Velden – 4 wins 15 ends and 31 points
- 2nd: Rob Cotter, Michael Heather and Pat Brown – 3.5 wins 17 ends 37 points
- 3rd: Chris Hogan Graeme Mathie and Kay Hogan – 3 wins 14 ends and 30 points
And on the Tiger Turf green:
- 1st: Mike Barone, Sprotty and Warren – 4 wins 15 ends and 34 points
- 2nd: Bob Liddall, Dave Bond and Dave Grigg – 3.5 wins 14 ends and 26 points
- 3rd: Doug Pitcher, Chris and Peter Sayer – 2.5 wins, 15 ends and 23 points
