The qualifying round was played on Saturday, 17th October 2026 on a fine spring day. Eleven teams entered which meant a bye in each round.
Competition was tight and competitive, resulting in close games with only one or two point differentials. Two teams needed an extra end in the second round, as it was a draw in the 18th end.
By the end of two rounds 5 teams had qualified with two wins and 2 teams needed a further win to advance to the next section. Bob Liddall’s team picked up the extra win they needed to advance to post section, however, Duncan’s team were not so lucky.
Another beautiful day for the post section play. Graeme Law and Keven Bray had a very good match with Graeme pulling away to win 17-8. Les Galloway and Mike Ansell were neck and neck for most of the game with Les coming out the winner in the end.
Semi Finals were exciting to watch with Grahame Law beating Les Galloway’s team and Bob Liddall beating Brian Cooper’s team.
The final was close most of the way with only single points being won, but in the end Bob Liddall, David Bond and Don Newton were the winners 14-9.
