This year 9 teams entered from across the region, and played on the Tiger Turf at the Levin Bowling Club. We were fortunate to have pleasant weather on both days with excellent bowling conditions.
The teams played 6 qualifying rounds, with the top 4 teams qualifying. Both of our Club entries qualified in the top 2 places. Well done guys!
In the semi finals Waitarere Black defeated Levin Green, while Levin White defeated Paekakariki in a very close game.
In the final, Levin White skipped by Mary van der Velden with Chloe Eastham and Karen Muir got an early lead on Waitarere’s composite team of Jenny Rose, Karen Hutton and Angie Rooker. Waitarere fought back to 10-10 with two ends to go. Levin White managed to defeat Waitarere in a very close epic battle in the last two ends.
