The 10th of June saw the opening of the Winter Gala 2026 season. Nick Bailey and Frank Cottis kindly took over the running of the gala to give the match committee a well earned break after a busy summer season.
The day started off overcast, but by midday the cloud cover had burnt off to a beautiful day.
The bowls games were tightly contested with the top four teams all having 3½ wins out of 4 games. The winning teams were:
- 1st: Colin, Jim and John – 3½ wins, 19 ends, 39 points.
- 2nd: Noel, Peter and Ian – 3½ wins, 19 ends, 37 points.
- 3rd: Grahame, Bella and Martin – 3½ wins, 18 ends, 39 points.
